Introduction

NAVY selection procedure consists of two tests; INITIAL & ISSB. Initial tests are of two types NAVY Intelligence Test and the NAVY Academic Test; Which are conducted through E-Testing. Passing both of these tests; “Intelligence and Academic Test” is compulsory for all candidates. Any student failing to qualify these tests are not allowed to proceed further in the initial Tests.

  • Verbal Intelligence Test (2Questions)
  • Non Verbal Intelligence Test (75 Questions)

Academic Test (75-100Questions)

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • General Knowledge

Physical Tests (PT)

Following is the initial PMA physical test which is conducted at Pakistan Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RC). Qualifying all of these tests is compulsory for all candidates.

  • Running: Candidates must pass 1.6 Km Running in 8 (Eight) Minutes
  • Push-Ups: Must pass Push Up of 15 Repetition in 2 (Two) Minutes
  • Sit-Ups of 15 Repetition in 2 (Two) Minutes
  • Chin Up required 3 Repetitions in 2 (Two) Minutes

Initial Medical Test

Following initial medical tests will be conducted at Pak Army centers ASRC and you must pass to get an ISSB call letter. 

  • Eye Test
  • FBE(full body examination)
  • Hearing and speaking test
  • Flat feet
  • Knee-knocking
  • Arms Angle
  • Hepatitis Test

Initial Interview

Here are some tips for the Interview…

  • Prepare well for the interview
  • Be well, formally dressed up (Tie with suite OR waist coat with Shalwar Qameez) & close shoes. Female need to  be modestly dressed up.
  • Males – Get fresh haircut, shave done OR beard properly/fresh groomed.
  • Some important videos

    • Logical/Patriotic reasons for joining army
    • Response on, “What will you do if don’t join Army”.
    • Favorite personality with reasons.
    • Merits and demerits of self.
    • Merits and demerits of family members/close friends
  • Any Current Affair topic(s) can be asked about.
  • Be truthful, honest and genuine – as trying to act, cover up or lie – will never help you.

Ineligibilities

Here are the reasons which will make any candidate ineligible for these tests…

  • Twice rejected/screened out by ISSB
  • Thrice failure of Initial Tests.
  • Students will have to wait for 120xDays -before appearing for 2nd ISSB
  • Any candidate who has been convicted by the Court of Law for any crime/offense.
  • Any Individual who has been declared completely UNFIT by Appeal Board.
  • Hepatitis B & C affectees.
  • A person who has been dismissed, removed, or debarred from the government service or armed forces.
  • Any applicant who tempers academic certificates, forges them, or conceals them in order to gain an unfair advantage will be permanently ineligible for any kind of commission in the Armed Forces.
  • A candidate declared positive for drugs at CMHs, Military Hospitals, or AFIP will be permanently ineligible to join PMAs or Training Institutions.
