Pak Navy Courses through ISSB
The Pakistan Navy is the homeland’s naval warfare force, responsible for Pakistan’s 1,046 km of Arabian Sea Coastline as well as providing defense to major civil harbors and military bases. In the Pakistan Navy, Courses are available for aspiring officers through ISSB Tests. Let’s discuss some of the essential courses offered by the Pakistan Navy. Initial tests of all these courses are conducted in Navy’s Selection & Recruitment Centers; where candidates are tested on computer based Academics & Intelligence Tests; with emphasis on Physics, Math, English and General Knowledge. Candidates who qualify these tests are proceeded further for ISSB tests.
PN Cadet
- PN Cadet course is the Major Course of Pan Navy to inducte officers into its various branches.
- Name: PN Cadet
- Duration: 1-1/2 years at Naval Academy
- Rank: Second Lieutenant
- Intakes: TWO; May/Nov every year
- Candidates: Pakistani Males – Unmarried
- Qualifications: Min FSc or Equivalent (Physics & Math) – 60% Mks

Short Service Commission
- Short Svc Commission is Pak Navy’s s Main Course which provides leadership to its various departments.
- Name: Short Svc Commission
- Duration: 4 Years at NUST
- Rank: –
- Intakes: TWO; May/Nov – every year
- Candidates: Pakistani Males/Female Unmarried/Married
- Qualifications: Graduate/Masters across many fields – 65% Mks

PN Medical Cadet
- NO ISSB is conducted for this course
- Lady Cadet Course is for induction of ladies as Officers in Pak Army’s various technical /non combatant deptts.

- Rank: Ag Surg Lieutenant
- Intakes: ONE; November – every year
- Candidates: Pakistani Male/Females Unmarried
- Qualifications: 4th / Final Year Medical Students. 62.5% Mks OR GPA – 2.5/4
