Step-10
Make Use of Your Aggression

In the mid-1800s, a businessman named Maurice Clark met a man named John D. Rockefeller. Rockefeller had a tough upbringing because his father often left the family without enough money. This made Rockefeller really want to have money and control over his life. Clark, however, found Rockefeller annoying because he pressured him to expand their business. Eventually, Clark sold his part of the business at an auction, which was just what Rockefeller wanted. He bought Clark’s shares and turned the small business into the powerful Standard Oil Company.

Rockefeller was a strong and smart businessman who knew how to understand people’s motivations and get what he wanted. We all have some aggression in us, and it’s a natural part of being human. Instead of suppressing it, we should find healthy ways to use it.

The first step is recognizing where our aggression comes from. It could be because of things like insecurities, strict parents, childhood trauma, or the desire to control things. Once we understand our aggression, we can use it to achieve our goals and be fearless in pursuing a higher purpose. Understanding aggression also helps us see it in others and deal with people who use aggression to hide their own weaknesses. It can be really satisfying to outsmart a bully.
